SwimSafer is Singapore’s national learn-to-swim and water-safety programme, organised in progressive stages from beginner basics through to stronger stroke and survival skills. We are an independent swim school and are not the official SwimSafer programme, nor affiliated with SportSG, Singapore Aquatics or the National Water Safety Council. Our job is to coach your child thoroughly so they are genuinely ready on assessment day.
Across the stages, learners typically progress from water entry, submersion and floating towards swimming continuous distances, treading water and performing survival skills, with requirements increasing at each level. The distances, times and criteria referred to here are approximate and can change, so please confirm current details with the official SwimSafer syllabus or Singapore Aquatics.
